Hydrangeas are a Cape Cod icon and on a recent visit to the Cape I couldn't resist picking and pressing some magnificent hydrangeas (with the owner's permission, of course!).
The pressed flower piece below was inspired by a friend who suggested creating a wreath with hydrangea petals. The wreath is embellished with maidenhair ferns, ammi majus, quick fire hydrangea petals and pink osteospermum daisies.
The original piece is framed with double white mat and a quality silver frame. It will be available for sale at the Vermont Crafts Council's Open Studio Weekend Oct. 4th and 5th.
