It's that time of year when I clean out my studio and prepare for visitors for Open Studio Weekend.
Open Studio Weekend is a statewide celebration of the visual arts and creative process, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to meet a wide variety of artists and craftspeople in their studios. This is the 23th anniversary of Vermont's Craft Council's statewide Open Studio Weekend. Artists throughout the state will welcome visitors to their studios for demonstrations, exhibits, and sales.
Here at my home/studio in Wilmington you can view my pressed flower art, stroll through the gardens, enjoy some refreshments and watch demonstrations of microwave flower pressing. Microfleurs (microwave flower presses) will be available for sale if you decide you would like to give flower pressing a try.
Maps of all the open studios will be available so after leaving here you can move on to visit other talented Vermont artists.
